The Envision Foundation for Photography and Digital Media
Using the power of visual media to help young people change their world
www.theenvisionfoundation.org
The Envision Foundation is an international non-profit organization that empowers young people to become involved in, and contribute to, their communities and the world through photography and digital media.
A main goal of the organization is to support young people in defining local needs and issues, and assist them in creating possible solutions. Participants in our program can share their vision, experiences and solutions with their peers, the leaders of their communities and the world – online, as well as through exhibitions, events and print publications. By sharing their stories, young people will visualize themselves as part of a global community.
The Envision Foundation provides young people with vital skills in visual and digital media, which prepares them to tell the stories of their own lives and their community. Dedicated to building future leaders, The Envision Foundation believes in the ability of young people to contribute to their community and the world.

I.AM.Visura Educational Program
The Niños de Nueva Esperanza project held a Photography and Ecology Workshop for a group of 20 teenagers from the community of Sabana Seca, Toa Baja, with the goal of developing ecological awareness and reinforcing individual self-expression through photography. Instructed by Adriana Teresa with the assistance of Graham Letorney, the youths explored three approaches to the photographic image: portraiture, photo-documentation, and the concept of metaphor. Culminating in an exhibition, the talented and motivated teenagers shared their environmental concerns and goals with their community. The workshop was developed for the Niños de Nueva Esperanza project by FotoVisura
and coordinated by the Franciscan Friars, under the auspices of the RISA Foundation.
Niños de Nueva Esperanza is a community alternative education organization with over 200 boys and girls from the ages of 6 to 16 in Sabana Seca, a town in northern Puerto Rico that has been marginalized by poverty and violence.
