ADRIANA TERESA Co-founder of FotoVisura (2009) & Visura Media (2010), Adriana Teresa Letorney (aka Adriana Teresa) is committed to supporting the international photography community, as well as education. She has participated in and produced, most notably,Visura Magazine (Publisher/ Editor-in-Chief), FotoVisura.com (co-founder/creative director), The FotoVisura Grants (co-founder/Juror), and The FotoVisura Portfolio Consultations (producer/reviewer). Seeking to support international photography events, Adriana Teresa produced The FotoVisura Pavilion during the New York Photo Festival 2008-2011, and she co-produced the inaugural 2010 GuatePhoto Festival in Guatemala. Adriana Teresa has written about photography in The New York Times Lens Blog, Huffinton Post Latino Voices Section, La Lettre de la Photographie, The New York Photo Festival Blog, Visura Magazine and FotoVisura. As a curator, her experience includes The FotoVisura Pavilion at the New York Photo Festival (2008-2011) and the 2011 International Photo Awards Best of Show exhibit during the Lucie Awards. Recently, she co-founded The Envision Foundation for Photography and Digital Media, an international non-profit organization that empowers young people to become involved in, and contribute to, their communites and the world through photography and digital media. Adriana Teresa was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She earned a BA from the University of Puerto Rico, District of Rio Piedras in Anthropology (2001), and a BFA in Photography from The School of Visual Arts in New York (2007). Over the course of her career, she interned at Harper’s Bazaar Magazine (2006), Bruce Silverstein Gallery (2006) and Rolling Stone Magazine(2007). In addition, Adriana Teresa worked for The powerHouse Arena (2008), an experience which culminated in her first curatorial project titled Song of Myself. |
GRAHAM LETORNEY Graham Letorney is the co-founder, Lead Designer and Chief Technical Officer of Visura Media and FotoVisura.com. During his career as a website designer and multimedia producer, Graham has designed websites and multimedia stories for National Public Radio, The New York Photo Festival, powerHouse Books, Magnum Photos (Magnum in Motion) and Lindblad Exhibitions/National Geographic Society. These experiences led to his own initiatives: FotoVisura.com, Visura Magazine, and The FotoVisura Pavilion in the New York Photo Festival —projects that he continues to develop with his wife and partner, Adriana Teresa. Recently Graham initiated and continues to curate a photography column, 100 Words: Photographers Speak, for NPR’s Picture Show Blog. CONTACT US |
